  5.                                  season, Babe went to the
  6. Boston Red Sox. He quickly became one of
  7. the best pitchers in the major leagues. He
  8. also turned out to be a powerful hitter.

  10. In 1918, Babe started playing in the outfield
  11. in some games in which he wasnΓÇÖt pitching,
  12. so he could bat more often. He led the
  13. league in home runs with 11 that year. In
  14. 1919, the Red Sox made Babe a starter in
  15. the outfield, as well as a pitcher, to keep him
  16. in the lineup. The next year, he was traded to
  17. the New York Yankees. 
  18.
